Ahead of spring and summer 2019, Oru has added two new kayaks to their lineup: The Coast XT & The Haven. Advances in tracking, available features and capacity represent a leap forward in Oru’s designs. Known as the original origami kayak manufacturer, Oru’s lightweight kayaks (starting at just 26lbs.) are not only sturdy but they can be folded into a compact box for convenient storage below deck, in an apartment, or in the trunk of a car.
Coast XT Expedition Sea Kayak
Oru’s Coast XT expedition sea-kayak just got a major re-design in 2018 to improve handling, speed, and seaworthiness. Also very lightweight for its class, the Coast XT weighs 34lbs. and folds down to the size of a large suitcase — making it easy to travel.

Oru’s expertise in origami and manufacturing have come together to create a fully rollable kayak that can handle rough waters, high seas and carries up to 400lbs. A full zipper closure added as part of the 2018 re-design that creates a more rigid, watertight seam and enhances stability and speed.

The Haven Tandem Kayak
The world’s first tandem origami kayak and is by-far the most versatile boat Oru has ever made. At just 40lbs, the Haven is significantly lighter than any other tandem kayak on the market, and is also the only tandem kayak designed to be carried by a single person.
